DIVORCE SUPPORT
Assisting people who are approaching divorce or who have divorced.

SHANDON OFFERS A DIVORCE SUPPORT GROUP THAT ALLOWS PEOPLE TO BEGIN LETTING GO OF PAINFUL FEELINGS AND TO AFFIRM A NEW SENSE OF SELF-WORTH.

A new support group begins in September and January and continues for seven consecutive Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friendships are developed in a supportive environment. For over 15 years, these groups have encouraged hundreds of people
in the community.

Topics for discussion come from Jim Smoke's excellent book, Growing Through Divorce. Group facilitators are caring individuals who have been divorced a good while and moved on to positive directions. A $15 book fee is payable to SUMC at the first session.

Open to anyone, and pre-registration is necessary and is on a first-come, first-served basis until the group is filled. For more information, contact coordinator Anne Cox at anne41450@aol.com or 803-917-6861.

“I have learned the importance of setting goals (even small ones).  I realize that I’m not alone in this journey and can start to move forward. The facilitators are terrific. Thanks to them for everything!”  - Growing Through Divorce group member
