Responding to our call to be faithful stewards of God’s creation. The United Methodist Social Principles states “All creation is the Lord’s, and…God has granted us stewardship of creation.” Shandon’s Green Team is dedicated to caring for our environment. The team regularly accesses the green needs of the church campus, sponsors educational programs to promote green awareness, highlights green actions in the newsletter, and sponsors green activities at church-wide events. For information, contact Lesli Wood at 256-8383, ext. 108 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
SHANDON BOOK CLUB
The Shandon Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Bruner 221. If you enjoy interesting conversation and sharing viewpoints, the stories and characters in books always provide great subject matter and stretch your thinking about all kinds of subjects that affect our lives and faith. The books are in a broad range and chosen six months out at Book Club regular meetings. To be on the Book Club mailing list, contact Lesli Wood at 256-8383, ext. 108 or email@example.com.
RUN-SMC -- Walk/Run Group
All ages and abilities are welcome. No matter how fast or slow you are, we have a training group for you.
Why join us? It can be difficult to stay motivated to exercise when you try it alone. Doing it with a group increases motivation and creates accountability. Come run or walk with us as we help each other achieve our goals. Everyone is placed into a training group suited for their current ability and future goals. If you’re interested in joining up with Run-SMC contact: Jeff Godby firstname.lastname@example.org or Karen Snyder email@example.com
